OK, here's what happened. I was running NOD32 antivirus and decided to see what BitDefender was all about it. I uninstalled NOD32 and rebooted and installed BitDefender. So after I reboot the computer, Google Chrome was really slow and the only way I could make it work was to add it to the 'Game Mode' section, which of course lowers your protection slightly. Someone over at the BD forums, asked if I uninstalled NOD32 with their uninstaller. Of course by this time, I actually use system restore (didn't bother to uninstall BD) and then of course neither NOD32 or BD would work. I couldn't find them in the add/remove programs and I went through the registry one key at a time (with search of course)....still to no avail.
