QUESTION

How do I get µVision to work with the CC Debugger from TI (formerly Chipcon) for CC111x, CC243x, CC251x?

ANSWER

Normally, you should only have to download and install the Texas Instruments Low-Power RF (formerly Chipcon) Debug Driver to your TI SmartRF installation. This download includes a readme file for installtion and small example project.

After doing that, if you still have problems connecting, make sure the CC Debugger's 10-pin cable is installed properly. Open the CC Debugger's case and make sure the cable's red tracer wire is aligned with Pin 1 on the CC Debugger's circuit board. If not, use the other end of the cable so Pin 1 on the circuit board aligns with the red tracer wire.

If the cable is aligned properly, make sure these TI tools and drivers are installed:

• From TI, download and install V1.12.7 (or later) of the SmartRF Flash Programmer (for 8051).
• From TI, download and install the Cebal CCxxxx USB driver.
